DUNDEE University said yesterday that Sir Robert Wilson has become the first patron of its centre for energy, petroleum and mineral law and policy (CEPMLP).
The facility is an interdisciplinary centre for post-graduate teaching and research in the energy and mineral sectors.
The CEPMLP attracts more than 200 students each year from around the world to its masters and doctorate degree programmes, and carries out research in key areas of international concern relating to energy and mineral law, economics and policy.
Sir Robert – the chairman of international oil, gas and power giant BG Group – will assist the centre to expand and deepen its already extensive links with the international energy and mining industries.
He has been a supporter of the CEPMLP for almost a decade
